Georgia’s new car seat law goes into effect today, July 1, 2011. Starting today, all children under the age of 8 are required to ride in a car seat or booster.
Only children taller than 4’ 9” or with a doctor’s written excuse are exempt from the new law.
Penalties for violators are a $50 fine and 1 point on your license for first time offenders. Second time offenders are fined $100 and get 2 points on their license. Remember, our Atlanta Defensive Driving Class can help you get those points off your license.
We here at North Buckhead Driving and DUI School are trying to make the roads a little safer. We have weekly DUI / Risk Reduction Classes as well as Defensive Driving Classes. You can sign up by calling our office at (678) 510-2099 or by visiting our website at https://www.northbuckheaddrivingandduischool.com/ and using our secure registration system.
